Business broadband grant
Your business could qualify for a £25,000 grant to access high-speed broadband connectivity
Connecting Shropshire, in partnership with Fastershire & Superfast Telford and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, have developed the Marches & Gloucestershire Business Broadband Grant.
The grant will provide up to 100% of the capital installation cost and, through our registration portal, we aim to help to match your business with potential suppliers who can install your high speed broadband connection.
Your business must be:
- located in Shropshire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire
- a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and operate within an eligible sector
- able to demonstrate an economic case for high-speed broadband connectivity
- beyond the scope of committed broadband infrastructure roll-out plans. Businesses located in the Shropshire Council area can check this by viewing the NGA broadband coverage map (click here). If your businesses is classified as “No planned NGA coverage” or “under review”, then you may be eligible
Step 1 – Register on the Marches & Gloucestershire Business Broadband Grant portal, click here. Registration is subject to approval and can take up five working days.
Step 2 – Once approved, you will be required to complete a ‘request for quotation’ form.
Step 3 – Suppliers registered under the scheme will then submit quotes and you are able to select your preferred supplier.
