Make the switch

The Connecting Shropshire programme is progressing well, with around 60,000 homes and businesses already able to access faster broadband from the network that we’ve installed. If you visit our website: you can check which exchange area and cabinet serves your premises and check the availability of superfast broadband.

A resident who recently moved to live in the county, said: “Despite the delay in getting connected, I have to say I’m impressed that I’m now getting a 280Mbps download speed to my home in the Shropshire countryside.  Here in Stoke Heath, I’ve got Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) whereas, back in the ‘new city’ of Milton Keynes, I could only obtain 76Mbps from Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC).”

Better Broadband Subsidy Scheme

If your property gets a download speed of 2mbps or less, you can apply to the Better Broadband Subsidy Scheme for support towards the cost of the installation of a fixed wireless/satellite broadband connection.
